Thru-arm torch mounts are now available for most popular arc welding robot models! PowerBall® High Performance Robotic Torches are engineered to provide maximum conductivity with increased consumable life. The innovative torch design provides a higher amperage output than traditional air-cooled MIG welding torches, resulting in an energy efficient torch that can take on demanding welding applications. Higher conductivity and energy efficiency also means improved arc stability with faster arc starts. Available in 220° or full 360° rotation.

Launching at FABTECH are the new & improved line of Torch Wizard® Robotic Nozzle Cleaning Stations featuring Ethernet and IO-Link capability. 2024 models will also feature several design updates for easy maintenance. Built tough for reliable performance in high volume production applications, Torch Wizard® Nozzle Cleaning Stations feature no belts that wear out and no complex circuit boards that burn out in industrial environments. Proudly Made in USA.

New features and Improvements Include:

  • IO-Link or Ethernet option for connectivity in modern robotic welding cells
  • Quick access dual-hinged panel in rear of unit with modular design for easy maintenance
  • Status light to verify proper functionality
  • Customizable or auto sequence configuration
  • Automated self-diagnostics and maintenance mode
  • Gas flow sensor option

The PowerBall® high performance torch products line has expanded with the new 500 Amp MIG welding gun. This air-cooled gun excels in heavy duty applications, while the innovative PowerBall® design with optimized conductivity provides extended consumable life and superior cooling for operator comfort. Unrivaled current transfer provides consistent arc stability with less amperage drop. 300 Amp and 400 Amp industrial MIG guns also available. Proudly Made in USA. Click here to watch our feature walkthrough video on the PowerBall® MIG Gun.

The WizardGear® line of robot cable management kits has expanded with new kits for Kuka® robot models and others for additional robots coming soon. WizardGear® robot cable management kits provide organization, support and protection for all lines and cables attached to robots. Using zip ties or other poor methods of attachment can void the warranty on control cables and cause unnecessary downtime. Kits with welding cable feature PowerBall® energy efficient cable with consolidated copper lugs (patented design). Proudly Made in USA.

Boost the power of your MIG welding torches and simplify your tool crib with PowerBall® high performance replacement consumables. New consumables are available for additional torch models, talk to your Wire Wizard® Technical sales expert for details. Using different models of MIG guns in the same facility? Tool crib management is made easy with consumables for multiple MIG gun brands from one source, plus get the added benefit of the PowerBall® long-life consumable design. Proudly Made in USA.

Word from the Wizard - April

A manufacturer of attachments for heavy construction equipment was not happy with the performance and durability of their current MIG welding guns. Their heavy duty application required a heavy duty MIG gun that could withstand high heat and high duty cycle welds with large diameter cored wire. The poor cooling of their current MIG guns caused them to be too hot for the operator to handle and also resulted in premature failure of welding consumables. Frustrated with the ongoing performance issues, they decided to trial PowerBall® 500 Amp MIG guns that feature patented technology with superior conductivity and cooling. Welders quickly noticed less heat build-up in the handle , improved welding quality and a significant increase in consumable life . After a successful trial, they are now in the process of...

Word from the Wizard - March

A mining equipment manufacturer utilizing a large robotic tower system on a linear track recently reached out to the Wire Wizard Team to optimize their wire delivery setup. The system had a drum of bulk wire located on a platform attached to the tower, which made wire changeout difficult and unsafe for team members responsible for running the wire. The Wire Wizard Engineering Team worked with the facility to develop a solution to move the drum to a safer and more accessible location, as well as reduce friction on the wire through a long run to the feeder (approx. 100 ft). Wire Guide Modules and Extra Flexible Conduit were utilized to relocate the drum from the tower platform to the flo...
